Biography |
David J. Burge, an attorney and partner at the Smith, Gambrell & Russell law firm in Atlanta, has a lifelong interest in community and governmental issues. He was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue to the Boards of both the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority and the Georgia Real Estate Commission. He served as Chairman of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia for 2006-2007 and as Chairman of the Real Estate Section of the Atlanta Bar Association for 1999-2000. Burge earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in history and political science and received his J.D., with first honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where is was Articles Editor of the North Carolina Law Review. Prior to private law practice, Burge served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Albert J. Henderson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta. |
